‘Can mortals be righteous before God? Can humans be pure before their Maker?


Whoever rebukes a person will afterward find more favor than one who flatters with the tongue.


Whoever flatters a neighbor is spreading a net for the neighbor’s feet.


Am I now seeking human approval or God’s approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.


As you know and as God is our witness, we never came with words of flattery or with a pretext for greed,
