Why is light given to one who cannot see the way, whom God has fenced in?
Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, And whom God hath hedged in?
[Why is the light of day given] to a man whose way is hidden, and whom God has hedged in?
Why is light given to the person whose way is hidden, whom God has fenced in?
to a man whose way is hidden and whom God has surrounded with darkness?
To a man whose way is hidden, and God hath surrounded him with darkness?

He has walled me about so that I cannot escape; he has put heavy chains on me;
he has blocked my ways with hewn stones; he has made my paths crooked.
