honey and curds, sheep, and cheese from the herd, for David and the people with him to eat, for they said, “The troops are hungry and weary and thirsty in the wilderness.”


The wicked earn no real gain, but those who sow righteousness get a true reward.


Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord and will be repaid in full.


Those who are generous are blessed, for they share their bread with the poor.


In the morning sow your seed, and at evening do not let your hands be idle, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.


a time to seek and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to throw away;


Happy will you be who sow beside every stream, who let the ox and the donkey range freely.


But those who are noble plan noble things, and by noble things they stand.


But in the fifth year you may eat of their fruit, that their yield may be increased for you: I am the Lord your God.


If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.


and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple—truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.”


In the same way, the one who had the two talents made two more talents.


And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.’


And you will be blessed because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”


The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.


For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.
