“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
Woe to anyone who says to a father, “What are you fathering?” or to a woman, “With what are you in labor?”
Father and mother are treated with contempt in you; the alien residing within you suffers extortion; the orphan and the widow are wronged in you.
You shall each revere your mother and father, and you shall keep my Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.
All who curse father or mother shall be put to death; having cursed father or mother, their bloodguilt is upon them.
