“So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
“You shall love the Lord your God, therefore, and keep his charge, his decrees, his ordinances, and his commandments always.
“Keep, then, the entire commandment that I am commanding you today, so that you may have strength to go in and occupy the land that you are crossing over to occupy
“These are the statutes and ordinances that you must diligently observe in the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you to occupy all the days that you live on the earth.
You must diligently observe everything that I command you; do not add to it or take anything from it.
Today you have obtained the Lord’s agreement: to be your God; and for you to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, and his ordinances, and to obey him.
From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.

You must diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees and his statutes that he has commanded you.

Remember the long way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, in order to humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commandments.
