Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I must return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I am through with him, the prince of Greece will come.
“Now I will announce the truth to you. Three more kings shall arise in Persia. The fourth shall be far richer than all of them, and when he has become strong through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece.
Then a warrior king shall arise who shall rule with great dominion and take action as he pleases.
After you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours and yet a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over the whole earth.
After this, as I watched, another appeared, like a leopard. The beast had four wings of a bird on its back and four heads, and dominion was given to it.
As for the ram that you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia.
As for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms shall arise from his nation but not with his power.
