Later he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were sitting at the table, and he upbraided them for their lack of faith and stubbornness, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.


Then about an hour later still another kept insisting, “Surely this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean.”


But these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them.


Meanwhile Peter continued knocking, and when they opened the gate they saw him and were amazed.


While he was making this defense, Festus exclaimed, “You are out of your mind, Paul! Too much learning is driving you insane!”
