Then one said, “I will surely return to you in due season, and your wife Sarah shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent entrance behind him.
She then said to Elijah, “What have you against me, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to remembrance and to cause the death of my son!”
So the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is truth.”
And he said, “How have I sinned, that you would hand your servant over to Ahab to kill me?
Now the people of the city said to Elisha, “The location of this city is good, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful.”
The woman conceived and bore a son at that season, in due time, as Elisha had declared to her.
Then she said, “Did I ask my lord for a son? Did I not say, ‘Do not mislead me?’ ”
But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will name him John.
