Then the spirit came upon Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said, “We are yours, O David, and with you, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, and peace to the one who helps you! For your God is the one who helps you.” Then David received them and made them officers of his troops.

The Lord aroused against Jehoram the anger of the Philistines and of the Arabs who are near the Cushites.
Rather, go by yourself and act; be strong in battle, or God will fling you down before the enemy, for God has power to help or to overthrow.”
Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken, for from the root of the snake will come forth an adder, and its fruit will be a flying fiery serpent.
