The whole earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put into his mind.


Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.


The Lord highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.


Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.


Did not King Solomon of Israel sin on account of such women? Among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel; nevertheless, foreign women made even him to sin.


So I became great and surpassed all who were before me in Jerusalem; also my wisdom remained with me.


Likewise, all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.


But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.


Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine,


If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.
