What is your beloved more than another beloved, O fairest among women? What is your beloved more than another beloved, that you thus charge us?
“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me,
They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me, and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”
Whoever does not love me does not keep my words, and the word that you hear is not mine but is from the Father who sent me.
So you have pain now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
