So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Eli´jah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,


Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of a hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.


But Jehosh´aphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may inquire of the Lord by him? And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, Here is Eli´sha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Eli´jah.


So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Geha´zi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shu´nammite:


and Alam´melech, and Amad, and Mish´eal; and reacheth to Carmel westward, and to Shi´hor–lib´nath;
