And Jacob fathered Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,"which is translated, "God with us."
And the angel came to her and said, "Greetings, O favored [one], the Lord is with you; blessed [are] you among women!"
