2 This was the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Jehu, saying: Thy children to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass.
He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.
And Joatham was strengthened, be- cause he had his way directed before the Lord his God.
