But he answering, said to them: Why do you also transgress the commandment of God for your tradition? For God said:
6 Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.
5 He said: Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying: What is thy opinion, Simon? The kings of the earth, of whom do they receive tribute or custom? of their own children, or of strangers?
AT that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying: Who thinkest thou is the greater in the kingdom of heaven?
Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye?
4 And behold the whole city went out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart from their coasts.
3 The devils therefore went out of the man, and entered into the swine; and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were stifled.
6 For men swear by one greater than themselves: and an oath for confirmation is the end of all their controversy.
