The disciples approached Jesus and woke Him, shouting, “Master, Master, we are sinking.” And He woke up and spoke sternly to the wind and the raging water; [then] the storm [immediately] stopped and [everything] became calm.
Jesus said, “Who touched me?” And when everyone denied [doing it], Peter and the disciples said, “Master, many people are pressing in on you and crowding you.”
And it happened, as the two men were leaving Him, that Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is [so] good for us to be here. Let us make three [small] shelters, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” [But] he did not realize what he was saying. [See note at Matt. 17:4]
