Now when evening came, Jesus was reclining at the dinner table with His twelve apostles.
When evening came, Jesus arrived [at the upstairs room] with the twelve apostles.
Then the apostles got together with Jesus and told Him everything they had done and taught [on their mission].
So, they went and found [everything] just as Jesus told them [it would be], and they prepared for the Passover meal.
And He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover meal with you [men] before I suffer [i.e., torture and death].
