thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.


And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.


Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counselors, to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;


and the next unto him was Carshe´na, Shethar, Adma´tha, Tarshish, Meres, Marse´na, and Memu´can, the seven princes of Persia and Me´di-a, which saw the king's face, and which sat the first in the kingdom,)


And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammeda´tha the A´gagite, the Jews' enemy.


And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.


And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.


And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the A´gagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.


The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.


When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.


folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.


and over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.


He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.


And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.


And he took Agag the king of the Amal´ekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
