The path of the righteous is uprightness; O upright One, You weigh the course of the righteous.


And they sent to Him their taught ones with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of Elohim in truth, and it does not concern You about anyone, for You are not partial to any man.


for Herodes feared Yoḥanan, knowing that he was a righteous and set-apart man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he was much perplexed, yet heard him gladly.


so He said to them, “You are those who declare yourselves righteous before men, but Elohim knows your hearts, because what is highly thought of among men is an abomination in the sight of Elohim.


And see, there was a man in Yerushalayim whose name was Shim‛on, and this man was righteous and dedicated, looking for the comforting of Yisra’ĕl. And the Set-apart Spirit was upon him.


And see, a man named Yosĕph, a council member, a good and righteous man –


“He who speaks from himself is seeking his own esteem, but He who seeks the esteem of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.


And they said, “Cornelius the captain, a righteous man and one who fears Elohim and well spoken of by the entire nation of the Yehuḏim, was instructed by a set-apart messenger to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you.”


And a certain Ḥananyah, a dedicated man according to the Torah, being well spoken of by all the Yehuḏim dwelling there,


“Therefore, brothers, seek out from among you seven men who are known to be filled with the Set-apart Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint for this duty,


Let us walk becomingly, as in the day, not in wild parties and drunkenness, not in living together and indecencies, not in fighting and envy,


For those ruling are an object of fear, not to good works, but to evil. Do you wish to be not afraid of the authority? Do the good, and you shall have praise from it,


For he who is serving Messiah in these matters is well-pleasing to Elohim and approved by men.


But a Yehuḏi is he who is so inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in Spirit, not literally, whose praise is not from men but from Elohim.


So do not judge any at all before the time, until the Master comes, who shall bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the thoughts of the hearts. And then each one’s praise shall come from Elohim.


And we pray to Elohim that you do no evil at all – not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is right, even though we should appear unapproved.


through esteem and disrespect, through evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers, and yet true;


And we sent with him the brother whose praise is in the Good News through all the assemblies,


For we provide what is right, not only in the sight of יהוה, but also in the sight of men.


But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustworthiness,


Therefore, having put off the false, speak truth, each one with his neighbour, for we are members of one another.


for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth –


Stand, then, having girded your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,


Follow righteousness, righteousness alone, so that you live and inherit the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.


For the rest, my brothers, rejoice in יהוה. To write the same matters to you is truly no trouble to me, and for you it is safe.


Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.


so that you behave decently toward those who are outside, and not be in any need.


for sovereigns and all those who are in authority, in order that we lead a calm and peaceable life in all reverence and seriousness.


Wives in the same way: reverent, not false accusers, sober, trustworthy in every way.


one who rules his own house well, having his children in subjection with all reverence,


Let no one look down on your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in behaviour, in love, in spirit, in belief, in cleanliness.


well reported for good works, if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the feet of the set-apart ones, if she has assisted the afflicted, if she has closely followed every good work.


elderly women as mothers, younger ones as sisters, in all cleanliness.


but kind to strangers, a lover of what is good, sensible, righteous, set-apart, self-controlled,


who gave Himself for us, to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people, his own possession, ardent for good works.


the older men are to be sober, serious, sensible, sound in belief, in love, in endurance,


Show yourself to them an example of good works in all matters. In teaching show uncorruptness, seriousness,


And our brothers should also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, so that they shall not be without fruit.


For by this the elders obtained witness.


Pray for us, for we trust that we have a good conscience, desiring to behave well in every way.


Clean and undefiled religion before the Elohim and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.


But the wisdom from above is first clean, then peaceable, gentle, ready to obey, filled with compassion and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.


Now that you have cleansed your lives in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another fervently with a clean heart,


having your behaviour among the nations good so that when they speak against you as evil-doers, let them, by observing your good works, esteem Elohim in a day of visitation.


And above all have fervent love for one another, because love covers a great number of sins.


This is now, beloved ones, the second letter I write to you, in which I stir up your sincere mind, to remember


My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.


And everyone having this expectation in Him cleanses himself, as He is clean.


Beloved ones, do not believe every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of Elohim, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.


“And now, my daughter, do not fear. All that you say I do for you, for all the people of my town know that you are a capable woman.
