6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, to hear the prayer of Your servant which I am praying before You now, day and night, for the children of Yisra’ĕl Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Yisra’ĕl which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned.

“O יהוה, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who delight to fear Your Name. And let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him compassion in the presence of this man.” For I was cupbearer to the sovereign.


He shall turn unto the prayer of the destitute, And He shall not despise their prayer.


We have sinned with our fathers, We have acted perversely, We have done wrong.


O יהוה, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my prayers.


I acknowledged my sin to You, And my crookedness I did not hide. I have said, “I confess my transgressions to יהוה,” And You forgave the crookedness of my sin. Selah.

And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Yisra’ĕl, and presenting my supplication before יהוה my Elohim for the set-apart mountain of my Elohim,


And I prayed to יהוה my Elohim, and made confession, and said, “O יהוה, great and awesome Ěl, guarding the covenant and the loving-commitment to those who love Him, and to those who guard His commands.


“We have sinned and did crookedness, and did wrong and rebelled, to turn aside from Your commands and from Your right-rulings.


“O Master, to us is the shame of face, to our sovereigns, to our heads, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against You.


“And shall Elohim not do right by all means to His own chosen ones who are crying out day and night to Him, and being patient over them?


and she was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not leave the Set-apart Place, but served Elohim with fastings and prayers night and day.


among whom also we all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, as also the rest.


And she who is truly a widow, and left alone, trusts in Elohim and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.


I thank Elohim, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my forefathers did, as I unceasingly remember you in my prayers night and day,
