38 And standing behind, at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and wiping them with the hair of her head, and was kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume.

“And I shall pour on the house of Dawiḏ and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim a spirit of favour and prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son. And they shall be in bitterness over Him as a bitterness over the first-born.


Blessed are those who mourn, because they shall be comforted.


And Kĕpha went out and wept bitterly.


“Blessed are you who hunger now, because you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, because you shall laugh.

Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to dejection.
