Who would give me a hearing? See, my signature, let the Almighty answer me, and let my accuser write a bill!


Then I said, “See, I have come; In the scroll of the Book it is prescribed for me.


And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Write this for a remembrance in the book and recite it in the hearing of Yehoshua, that I shall completely blot out the remembrance of Amalĕq from under the heavens.”


And יהוה said to me, “Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man’s pen concerning Mahĕr-Shalal-Ḥash-Baz.


“See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the reigns, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”


“Before I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I did set you apart – I appointed you a prophet to nations.”


Then יהוה put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and יהוה said to me, “See, I have put My words in your mouth.


Hear the word of יהוה, O house of Ya‛aqoḇ and all the clans of the house of Yisra’ĕl.


“From the thirteenth year of Yoshiyahu son of Amon, sovereign of Yehuḏah, even to this day, this is the twenty-third year in which the word of יהוה has come to me. And I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking, but you have not listened.


“Thus spoke יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you.


Then all the heads sent Yehuḏi son of Nethanyahu, son of Shelemyahu, son of Kushi, to Baruḵ, saying, “Take in your hand the scroll from which you have read in the hearing of the people, and come.” So Baruḵ son of Nĕriyahu took the scroll in his hand and came to them.


And Baruḵ answered them, “From his mouth he spoke all these words to me, and I wrote them with ink in the book.”


Then it came to be, when Yehuḏi had read three or four columns, that the sovereign cut it with the scribe’s knife and threw it into the fire that was on the hearth, until the entire scroll was burned in the fire that was on the hearth.


and say to Yehoyaqim sovereign of Yehuḏah, ‘Thus said יהוה, “You have burned this scroll, saying, ‘Why have you written in it that the sovereign of Baḇel is certainly coming to destroy this land, and cause man and beast to cease from here?’ ”


“But you shall enter, and shall read from the scroll which you have written from my mouth, the words of יהוה, in the hearing of the people in the House of יהוה on the day of fasting. And also read them in the hearing of all Yehuḏah who come from their cities.


The word that Yirmeyahu the prophet spoke to Baruḵ son of Nĕriyah, when he had written these words in a book from the mouth of Yirmeyahu, in the fourth year of Yehoyaqim son of Yoshiyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, saying,


So Yirmeyahu wrote in a book all the evil that would come upon Baḇel, all these words which have been written concerning Baḇel.


And I looked and saw a hand stretched out to me. And see, a scroll of a book was in it,


“I have written for him numerous matters of My Torah – they were regarded as strange.


And it came to be, when Mosheh had completed writing the Words of this Torah in a book, until their completion,


“Then I said, ‘See, I come – in the roll of the book it has been written concerning Me – to do Your desire, O Elohim.’ ”
