20 But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead?

For we reckon that a man is declared right by belief without works of Torah.


But who are you, O man, to talk back to Elohim? Shall that which is formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”


For in Messiah יהושע neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any strength, but belief working through love.


For if anyone thinks himself to be somebody, when he is not, he deceives himself.


See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters of the world, and not according to Messiah.


which some, having missed the goal, turned aside to senseless talk,


For there are many unruly men, senseless talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,


If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is worthless.


So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead.


For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.
