2 For He grew up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or splendour that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should desire Him –

And she gave birth to her first-born Son, and wrapped Him up, and laid Him down in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in a lodging place.


And יהושע said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the heaven nests, but the Son of Aḏam has nowhere to lay His head.”


Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this One, but Barabba!” And Barabba was a robber.


Then יהושע came outside, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “See the Man!”


For the Torah being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, Elohim, having sent His own Son in the likeness of flesh of sin, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,


or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of doers of evil, and a praise for those who do good.
