to show compassion toward our fathers and to remember His set-apart covenant,


And beginning at Mosheh and all the Prophets, He was explaining to them in all the Scriptures the matters concerning Himself.


And He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all have to be filled that were written in the Torah of Mosheh and the Prophets and the Tehillim concerning Me.”


“But when He comes, the Spirit of the Truth, He shall guide you into all the truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come.


“Because of this Mosheh has given you the circumcision – though it is not from Mosheh, but from the fathers – and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.


We know that Elohim has spoken to Mosheh, but this One, we do not know where He is from.


“And we bring you the Good News, the promise made to the fathers,


“Being a prophet, then, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him: of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne,


And having appointed him a day, many came to him where he was staying, to whom he was explaining, earnestly witnessing about the reign of Elohim, and persuading them concerning יהושע from both the Torah of Mosheh and the Prophets, from morning until evening.


whom heaven needs to receive until the times of restoration of all matters, of which Elohim spoke through the mouth of all His set-apart prophets since of old.


of whom it was said, “In Yitsḥaq your seed shall be called,”


For by this the elders obtained witness.


Take heed not to refuse the One speaking. For if those did not escape who refused the warning on earth, much less we who turn away from Him from heaven,


For if the word spoken through messengers proved to be firm, and every transgression and disobedience received a right reward,


how shall we escape if we neglect so great a deliverance, which first began to be spoken by the Master, and was confirmed to us by those that heard,


And Mosheh indeed was trustworthy in all His house as a servant, for a witness of what would be spoken later,


For if Yehoshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.


So also the Messiah did not extol Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him, “You are My Son, today I have brought You forth.”


For when, according to Torah, every command had been spoken by Mosheh to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
