17 And Aḇraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Is a child born to a man who is a hundred years old? Or is Sarah, who is ninety years old, to bear a child?”

And Aḇram fell on his face, and Elohim spoke with him, saying,


Now Aḇraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age, and Sarah was past the way of women.


And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my master being old too?”


And Aḇraham was one hundred years old when his son Yitsḥaq was born to him.


And Sarah said, “Elohim has made me laugh, and everyone who hears of it laughs with me.”


And she said, “Who would have said to Aḇraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”


And Dawiḏ lifted his eyes and saw the messenger of יהוה standing between earth and the heavens, having in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Yerushalayim. And Dawiḏ and the elders, wrapped in sackcloth, fell on their faces.


Then Iyoḇ rose up and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and did obeisance.


As the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the esteem of יהוה. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.


He then came near where I stood. And when he came I feared and I fell on my face, but he said to me, “Understand, son of man, for the vision is for the time of the end.”

“So I fell down before יהוה the forty days and forty nights, for I fell down because יהוה had said He would destroy you.


And He said, “No, for I have now come as Captain of the host of יהוה.” And Yehoshua fell on his face to the earth and did obeisance, and said to Him, “What is my Master saying to His servant?”


And Yehoshua tore his garments, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of יהוה until evening, both he and the elders of Yisra’ĕl, and they put dust on their heads.


And the twenty-four elders sitting before Elohim on their thrones fell on their faces and worshipped Elohim,


And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the set-apart ones.


And it came to be, as the flame went up toward the heavens from the slaughter-place, that the Messenger of יהוה went up in the flame of the slaughter-place. And Manowaḥ and his wife were watching, and they fell on their faces to the ground.
