21 And יהוה said to Mosheh, “As you go back to Mitsrayim, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand. But I am going to strengthen his heart, so that he does not let the people go.

And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his servants, so that I show these signs of Mine before him,


However, יהוה strengthened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not let the children of Yisra’ĕl go.

“And I, see I am strengthening the hearts of the Mitsrites, and they shall follow them. And I am to be esteemed through Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.


And I shall strengthen the heart of Pharaoh, and he shall pursue them. But I am to be esteemed through Pharaoh and over all his army, and the Mitsrites shall know that I am יהוה. And they did so.


And יהוה strengthened the heart of Pharaoh sovereign of Mitsrayim, and he pursued the children of Yisra’ĕl, but the children of Yisra’ĕl went out defiantly.


“But I know that the sovereign of Mitsrayim is not going to let you go, not even by a strong hand.


“And I shall stretch out My hand and strike Mitsrayim with all My wonders which I shall do in its midst. And after that he shall let you go.


And Pharaoh’s heart was strengthened, and he did not listen to them, as יהוה had said.


“But I am going to harden the heart of Pharaoh, and shall increase My signs and My wonders in the land of Mitsrayim.


And the frogs shall turn aside from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people – they shall remain in the river only.


And when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, as יהוה had said.


But Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time too, and did not let the people go.


But יהוה strengthened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not listen to them, as יהוה had said to Mosheh.


And the heart of Pharaoh was strengthened, and he did not let the children of Yisra’ĕl go, as יהוה had said through Mosheh.


“Make the heart of this people fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and shall turn and be healed.”


O יהוה, why do You make us stray from Your ways, and harden our heart from Your fear? Turn back, for the sake of Your servants, the tribes of Your inheritance.


“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they should not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and turn, and I should heal them.”


And even as they did not think it worthwhile to possess the knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do what is improper,


So, then, He favours whom He wishes, and He hardens whom He wishes.


To the one we are the smell of death to death, and to the other the fragrance of life to life. And who is competent for these?


“From Aro‛ĕr, which is on the edge of the wadi Arnon, and the city that is by the wadi, as far as Gil‛aḏ, there was not one city too high for us. יהוה our Elohim gave all to us.


For it was of יהוה to strengthen their hearts, that they should come against Yisra’ĕl in battle, in order to put them under the ban, so that they might have no favour, but that He might annihilate them, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh.


and “A stone of stumbling and a rock that makes for falling,” who stumble because they are disobedient to the Word, to which they also were appointed.
