And also, Menashsheh shed very much innocent blood, until he had filled Yerushalayim from one end to another, besides his sin with which he made Yehuḏah sin, in doing evil in the eyes of יהוה.


Thus Yo’ash the sovereign did not remember the loving-commitment which Yehoyaḏa his father had done to him, and killed his son. And as he died, he said, “יהוה does see, and repay!”


“He who strikes a man so that he dies shall certainly be put to death.


“But when a man acts presumptuously against his neighbour, to kill him by treachery, you are to take him even from My slaughter-place to die.


“And when a man strikes his male or female servant with a rod, so that he dies under his hand, he shall certainly be punished.


“However, if the ox was previously in the habit of goring, and its owner has been warned, and he has not kept it confined, so that it has killed a man or a woman, the ox is stoned and its owner also is put to death.


“Keep yourself far from a false matter, and do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I do not declare the wrong right.


If they say, “Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood, Let us ambush the innocent without cause.


But they lie in wait for their own blood, They ambush their own lives.


For look, יהוה is coming out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their crookedness. And the earth shall disclose her blood, and no longer cover her killed ones.


“But know for certain that if you put me to death, you are bringing innocent blood on yourselves, and on this city, and on its inhabitants. For truly יהוה has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing.”


‘And a man who strikes the being of any man shall certainly be put to death.


‘And he who strikes a beast repays it, and he who strikes a man to death is put to death.


He said to Him, “Which?” And יהושע said, " ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’


You know the commands, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not rob,’ ‘Respect your father and your mother.’


You know the commands, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Respect your father and your mother.’


But Sha’ul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do no harm to yourself, for we are all here.”


And when the foreigners saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man is certainly a murderer, whom, though saved from the sea, still right-ruling does not allow to live.”


For this, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other command, it is summed up in this word, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”


envy, murders, drunkenness, wild parties, and the like – of which I forewarn you, even as I also said before, that those who practise such as these shall not inherit the reign of Elohim.


knowing this: that Torah is not laid down for a righteous being, but for the lawless and unruly, for the wicked and for sinners, for the wrong-doers and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,


For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of Torah.


For the judgment is without compassion to the one who has shown no compassion. And compassion boasts over judgment.
