And they departed, and the fear of Elohim was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Ya‛aqoḇ.


“And who is like Your people, like Yisra’ĕl, the one nation on the earth whom Elohim went to ransom for Himself as a people, to make for Himself a Name, and to do for You greatness, and awesome deeds for Your land before Your people, whom You ransomed for Yourself from Mitsrayim, from the nations and their mighty ones?


Mitsrayim was glad when they left, For the fear of them had fallen upon them.


Remember Your congregation. You did purchase of old, The tribe of Your inheritance. You did redeem, This Mount Tsiyon where You have dwelt.


Righteousness and right-ruling Are the foundation of Your throne; Loving-commitment and truth go before Your face.


‘But against any of the children of Yisra’ĕl no dog shall move its tongue, against man or against beast, so that you know that יהוה makes distinction between Mitsrayim and Yisra’ĕl.’


“In Your loving-commitment You led the people whom You have redeemed, in Your strength You guided them to Your set-apart dwelling.

“Your right hand, O יהוה, has become great in power. Your right hand, O יהוה, has crushed the enemy.


And Mosheh told his father-in-law all that יהוה had done to Pharaoh and to the Mitsrites for Yisra’ĕl’s sake, all the hardship that had come upon them on the way, and how יהוה had delivered them.


“I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery.


“See, I am sending a Messenger before you to guard you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.


“But if you diligently obey His voice and shall do all that I speak, then I shall be an enemy to your enemies and a distresser to those who distress you.


“I shall send My fear before you, and cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and make all your enemies turn their backs to you.


and shall take you as My people, and I shall be your Elohim. And you shall know that I am יהוה your Elohim who is bringing you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites.


Was it not You who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?


who led them by the right hand of Mosheh, with His comely arm, dividing the water before them to make for Himself an everlasting Name,


“For יהוה shall ransom Ya‛aqoḇ, and redeem him from the hand of one stronger than he.


“Again I passed by you and looked upon you and saw that your time was the time of carnal-love. And I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness. And I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,” declares the Master יהוה.


“Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Set-apart Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of Elohim which He has purchased with His own blood.


No man shall stand against you. יהוה your Elohim shall put the dread of you and the fear of you upon all the land where you tread, as He has spoken to you.


This day I begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the peoples under all the heavens, who, when they hear the report of you, shall tremble and shake because of you.’


“And command the people, saying, You are about to pass over into the border of your brothers, the descendants of Ěsaw, who live in Sĕ‛ir, and they are afraid of you. So be on your guard.


“Do you do this to יהוה, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father, who bought you, Who created you and established you?


“For the portion of יהוה is His people, Ya‛aqoḇ His allotted inheritance.


who gave Himself for us, to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a people, his own possession, ardent for good works.


and she said to the men, “I know that יהוה has given you the land, and that the fear of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt away because of you.


so that all the peoples of the earth shall know the hand of יהוה, that it is strong, so that you shall fear יהוה your Elohim forever.”


But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light,


But there also came to be false prophets among the people, as also among you there shall be false teachers, who shall secretly bring in destructive heresies, and deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.


“He guards the feet of His lovingly-commited ones, but the wrong are silent in darkness, for man does not become mighty by power.


And it came to be, in the morning, when the wine had gone from Naḇal, and his wife had told him these matters, that his heart died within him, and he became like a stone.
