21 And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea. And יהוה caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.

And Ěliyahu took his mantle, and rolled it up, and struck the water. And it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them passed over on dry ground.


“And You split the sea before them, and they passed over into the midst of the sea on the dry land. And their pursuers You threw into the deep as a stone into the mighty waters.


By His power He has calmed the sea, and by His understanding He struck down Rahaḇ.


Where is the way that light is divided, or the east wind scattered over the earth?


To Him who split apart the Sea of Reeds, For His loving-commitment is everlasting;


Fire and hail, snow and clouds, Stormy wind that does His word,


He has turned the sea into dry land, They went through the river on foot. There we rejoiced in Him,


You divided the sea by Your might; You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters.


He split the sea and caused them to pass through, And He made the waters stand up like a heap,


“And you, lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and let the children of Yisra’ĕl go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.


and came between the camp of the Mitsrites and the camp of Yisra’ĕl. And it was the cloud and the darkness, and it gave light by night, and the one did not come near the other all the night.


“And with the wind of Your nostrils the waters were heaped up, the floods stood like a wall, the depths became stiff in the heart of the sea.


And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, “Say to Aharon, ‘Take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Mitsrayim, over their streams, over their rivers, over their ponds, and over all their pools of water, that they become blood. And there shall be blood in all the land of Mitsrayim, both in wooden and in stone containers.’ ”


He has stretched out His hand over the sea, He shook the reigns; יהוה has given a command against Kena‛an to destroy its strongholds.


Thus said יהוה, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters,


who is saying to the deep, ‘Be dry, and your rivers I dry up,’


“When I came, why was there no man? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was My hand too short to ransom? Or have I no power to deliver? See, by My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; their fish stink for there is not water, and die of thirst.


Was it not You who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?


“But I am יהוה your Elohim, stirring up the sea, and its waves roar. יהוה of hosts is His Name.


who led them by the right hand of Mosheh, with His comely arm, dividing the water before them to make for Himself an everlasting Name,


who led them through the deep? Like a horse in the wilderness they did not stumble.”


Shall יהוה burn against the rivers? Is Your displeasure against the rivers, Is Your wrath against the sea, That You ride on Your horses, Your chariots of deliverance?


“This one led them out, after he had done wonders and signs in the land of Mitsrayim, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.


“For we have heard how יהוה dried up the water of the Sea of Reeds for you when you came out of Mitsrayim, and what you did to the two sovereigns of the Amorites who were beyond the Yardĕn, Siḥon and Oḡ, whom you put under the ban.


And the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of יהוה stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Yardĕn. And all Yisra’ĕl passed over on dry ground, until all the nation had completely passed over the Yardĕn.


for יהוה your Elohim dried up the waters of the Yardĕn before you until you had passed over, as יהוה your Elohim did to the Sea of Reeds, which He dried up before us until we had passed over,
