1 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim, saying,

And now, return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, and let him pray for you and you live. But if you do not return her, know that you shall certainly die, you and all that are yours.


And the children of Yisra’ĕl who were present performed the Pĕsaḥ at that time, and the Festival of Matzot for seven days.


And Mosheh and Aharon did all these wonders before Pharaoh, however, יהוה strengthened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not let the children of Yisra’ĕl go out of his land.


Speak now in the hearing of the people, and let every man ask from his neighbour and every woman from her neighbour, objects of silver and objects of gold.


‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the new moon, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the new moon in the evening.


This new moon is the beginning of new moons for you, it is the first new moon of the year for you.


And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,


On the first day of the first new moon, you are to raise up the Dwelling Place of the Tent of Appointment,


“In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the new moon, you have the Pĕsaḥ, a festival of seven days, unleavened bread is eaten.


And in the first new moon, on the fourteenth day, is the Pĕsaḥ of יהוה,


“Now, let the children of Yisra’ĕl perform the Pĕsaḥ at its appointed time.


“On the fourteenth day of this new moon, between the evenings, perform it at its appointed time. According to all its laws and right-rulings you perform it.”


So they performed the Pĕsaḥ on the fourteenth day of the first new moon, between the evenings, in the Wilderness of Sinai. According to all that יהוה commanded Mosheh, so the children of Yisra’ĕl did.


Now the Pĕsaḥ and the Festival of Matzot was after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to take Him through treachery and put Him to death.


And the Festival of Matzot drew near, which is called Pĕsaḥ.


So when he had seized him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to watch over him, intending to bring him before the people after Pĕsaḥ.


And a man of Elohim came to Ěli and said to him, “Thus said יהוה, ‘Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Mitsrayim in Pharaoh’s house,
