14 “Curds from the cattle, And milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, And rams of the breed of Bashan, And goats, with the choicest wheat; And you drank wine, the blood of the grapes.

Who makes peace in your borders, He satisfies you with the finest wheat;


Many bulls have surrounded Me; Strong ones of Bashan have encircled Me.


He would feed them with the finest of wheat; And with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.


“He eats curds and honey when He knows to refuse evil and choose the good.


And it shall be, that he shall eat curds because of the plenty milk he gets, for everyone left in the land shall eat curds.


“Eat the flesh of the mighty, drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams and lambs, of goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.


“I drew them with ropes of man, with cords of love, and I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. And I bent down, fed them.


Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Shomeron, who are oppressing the poor, who are crushing the needy, who are saying to their masters, “Bring wine, let us drink!”


Shepherd Your people with Your rod, the flock of Your inheritance, who dwell alone in a forest, in the midst of Karmel. Let them feed in Bashan and Gil‛aḏ, as in days of old.


“All the best of the oil, and all the best of the new wine and the grain – their first-fruits which they give to יהוה – I have given them to you.


Because you did not serve יהוה your Elohim with joy and gladness of heart for all the plenty,”


And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the bridles of the horses, for about one thousand six hundred stadia
