Whenever I said, “Let me not mention Him, nor speak in His Name again,” it was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones. And I became weary of holding it back, and was helpless.


But truly I am filled with power, with the Spirit of יהוה, and with right-ruling and with might, to declare to Ya‛aqoḇ his transgression and to Yisra’ĕl his sin.


And having looked around on them with displeasure, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.


And the Pĕsaḥ of the Yehuḏim was near, and יהושע went up to Yerushalayim.


And those who arranged for Sha’ul brought him to Athens. And receiving a command for Silas and Timotiyos to join him as soon as possible, they departed.


For all the Athenians and the strangers living there spent their leisure time in doing naught but to speak or to hear what is fresh.


“For passing through and observing the objects of your worship, I even found a slaughter-place with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN MIGHTY ONE. Not knowing then whom you worship, I make Him known to you:


And after this Sha’ul left Athens and went to Corinth.


“And now see, I go bound in the spirit to Yerushalayim, not knowing what is going to meet me there,


So, when we could no longer stand it, we thought it good to be left in Athens alone,


and rescued righteous Lot, who was oppressed with the indecent behaviour of the lawless
