13 And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had spoken to you a great matter, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?”

And the servants of the sovereign of Aram said to him, “Their mighty ones are mighty ones of the hills. That is why they were stronger than we. But let us fight against them in the plain – are we not stronger than they?


And his servants said to him, “See now, we have heard that the sovereigns of the house of Yisra’ĕl are lovingly-commited sovereigns. Please, let us put sackcloth around our waists and ropes around our heads, and go out to the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl. It could be that he spares your life.”


And Elisha had become sick with the sickness in which he died. And Yo’ash the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, “O my father, my father, the chariots of Yisra’ĕl and their horsemen!”


And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Yisra’ĕl and its horsemen!” And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garments and tore them into two pieces.


And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go, and you shall wash seven times in the Yardĕn, that your flesh might be restored to you, and be clean.”


And she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Shomeron! Then he would recover him of his leprosy.”


And when the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl saw them, he said to Elisha, “My father, should I strike? Should I strike?”


And Ḥaza’ĕl went to meet him and took a present with him, of all the good wares of Dammeseq, forty camel-loads. And he came and stood before him, and said, “Your son Ben-Haḏaḏ sovereign of Aram has sent me to you, saying, ‘Do I recover from this sickness?’ ”


Wash me completely from my guilt, And cleanse me from my sin.


Cleanse me with hyssop, and I am clean; Wash me, and I am whiter than snow.


“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Stop doing evil!


“A son esteems his father, and a servant his master. And if I am the Father, where is My esteem? And if I am a Master, where is My fear? said יהוה of hosts to you priests who despise My Name. But you asked, ‘In what way have we despised Your Name?’


“And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens.


Kĕpha said to Him, “By no means shall You wash my feet, ever!” יהושע answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”


And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Shiloaḥ" (which means Sent). So he went and washed, and came seeing.


And now, why do you delay? Rise up, be immersed, and wash away your sins, calling on the Name of יהוה.’


For since, in the wisdom of Elohim, the world through wisdom did not know Elohim, it pleased Elohim through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.


But Elohim has chosen the foolish matters of the world to put to shame the wise, and Elohim has chosen the weak of the world to put to shame the strong.


For if you should have ten thousand instructors in Messiah, yet not many fathers, for in Messiah יהושע I have brought you forth through the Good News.


He saved us, not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His compassion, through the washing of rebirth, and renewal by the Set-apart Spirit,


let us draw near with a true heart in completeness of belief, having our hearts sprinkled from a wicked conscience and our bodies washed with clean water.


which figure now also saves us: immersion – not a putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward Elohim – through the resurrection of יהושע Messiah,


And I said to him, “Master, you know.” And he said to me, “These are those coming out of the great distress, having washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.


“And my father, see! Yes, see the corner of your robe in my hand! For in that I cut off the corner of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor rebellion in my hand, and I have not sinned against you, while you are hunting my life to take it.


But he refused and said, “I am not going to eat.” But his servants, together with the woman, urged him. And he listened to their voice. So he rose from the ground and sat on the bed.


And Sha’ul said to his servant, “Your word is good. Come, let us go.” And they went to the city where the man of Elohim was.
