2 Kings 13:25 - The Scriptures 2009

25 And Yeho’ash son of Yeho’aḥaz recovered from the hand of Ben-Haḏaḏ, son of Ḥaza’ĕl, the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Yeho’aḥaz his father in battle. Yo’ash struck him three times, and he recovered the cities of Yisra’ĕl.

And they encamped opposite each other for seven days. And it came to be that on the seventh day the battle was joined. And the children of Yisra’ĕl struck one hundred thousand foot soldiers of the Arameans in one day.


In those days יהוה began to cut off some in Yisra’ĕl. And Ḥaza’ĕl struck them throughout all the border of Yisra’ĕl,


from the Yardĕn to the sun-rising: all the land of Gil‛aḏ – the Gaḏites, and the Re’uḇĕnites, and the Menashshehites – from Aro‛ĕr, which is by the wadi Arnon, including Gil‛aḏ and Bashan.


And Ḥaza’ĕl sovereign of Aram died. And Ben-Haḏaḏ his son reigned in his place.


And the displeasure of יהוה burned against Yisra’ĕl, and He gave them into the hand of Ḥaza’ĕl sovereign of Aram, and into the hand of Ben-Haḏaḏ son of Ḥaza’ĕl, all the days.


And יהוה gave Yisra’ĕl a saviour, so that they came out from under the hand of Aram. And the children of Yisra’ĕl dwelt in their tents as before.


He restored the border of Yisra’ĕl from the entrance of Ḥamath to the Sea of the Araḇah, according to the word of יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, which He had spoken through His servant Yonah son of Amittai, the prophet who was from Gath Ḥĕpher.
