9 For you remember, brothers, our toil and hardship, for labouring night and day, in order not to burden any of you, we proclaimed to you the Good News of Elohim.

But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty sheqels of silver. Their servants also oppressed the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of Elohim.


And that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep, and birds were prepared for me, and once every ten days plenty of all kinds of wine. And in spite of this I did not seek the governor’s food, because the bondage was heavy on this people.


For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My sap was turned into the droughts of summer. Selah.


O יהוה, Elohim of my deliverance, By day I have cried out, In the night also before You,


She shall taste when her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out by night.


Oh, that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, and I would weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!


“And shall Elohim not do right by all means to His own chosen ones who are crying out day and night to Him, and being patient over them?


and she was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not leave the Set-apart Place, but served Elohim with fastings and prayers night and day.


And because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and was working, for they were tentmakers by trade.


“But I do not count my life of any value to me, so that I might accomplish my mission with joy, and the service which I received from the Master יהושע, to bear witness to the Good News of the favour of Elohim.


“Therefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I did not cease to warn each one with tears.


Sha’ul, a servant of יהושע Messiah, a called emissary, separated to the Good News of Elohim,


to be a servant of יהושע Messiah to the nations, with the priestly duty of bringing the Good News of Elohim, so that the offering of the nations becomes acceptable, set apart by the Set-apart Spirit.


in power of signs and wonders, in power of the Spirit of Elohim, so that from Yerushalayim and round about to Illurikon I have completed the preaching of the Good News of Messiah.


and labour, working with our own hands. Being cursed, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer;


But I have used none of these, nor have I written this that it should be done so to me. For it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting empty.


What then is my reward? That in bringing the Good News, I should offer the Good News of Messiah without cost, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.


Do we not have a right to eat and drink?


in toil and hardship, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness,


And when I was present with you, and in need, I was not a burden to anyone, for what was lacking to me the brothers who came from Makedonia supplied. And in every way I kept myself – and shall keep – from being a burden to you.


in stripes, in imprisonments, in disturbances, in toils, in watchings, in fastings,


because, even in Thessalonike you sent to my need, once and twice.


remembering without ceasing your work of the belief, and the labour of love, and the endurance of the expectation in our Master יהושע Messiah in the presence of our Elohim and Father,


But having suffered before and having been mistreated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our Elohim to speak to you the Good News of Elohim in much struggle.


nor were we looking for praise from men, not from you nor from others, though we could have been a burden to you, as emissaries of Messiah.


night and day praying exceedingly, to see your face and make complete what is lacking in your belief?


according to the esteemed Good News of the blessed Elohim which was entrusted to me.


It is for this that we labour and struggle, because we trust in the living Elohim, who is the Saviour of all men, particularly of those who believe.


And she who is truly a widow, and left alone, trusts in Elohim and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.


I thank Elohim, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my forefathers did, as I unceasingly remember you in my prayers night and day,
