1 Kings 22:34 - The Scriptures 2009

34 And a man drew a bow in his simplicity, and struck the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl between the joints of his armour. And he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am wounded.”

And Yĕhu drew his bow and struck Yehoram between his arms. And the arrow came out at his heart, and he sank down in his chariot.


And the sovereign of Aram had commanded the commanders of the chariots who were with him, saying, “Fight with no one small or great, but only with the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl.”


And the archers shot at Sovereign Yoshiyahu. And the sovereign said to his servants, “Take me away, for I am severely wounded.”


Who was it that spoke, And it came to be! Has יהוה not commanded it?


“So I also, I shall strike you with a grievous wound, to lay you waste because of your sins:


And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots of many horses running into battle.


And Dawiḏ put his hand in his bag and took out a stone, and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.
