27 And as for the two kings, their minds shall be bent on mischief; they shall speak lies at the same table, but to no avail; for the end is yet to be at the time appointed.

Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are smooth lips with an evil heart.


Say, Thus says the Lord God: Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots and cut off its branches, so that all its fresh sprouting leaves wither? It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it from its roots.


In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed to Daniel, who was named Belteshazzar. And the word was true, and it was a great conflict. And he understood the word and had understanding of the vision.


And he shall return to his land with great substance, but his heart shall be set against the holy covenant. And he shall work his will, and return to his own land.


“At the time appointed he shall return and come into the south; but it shall not be this time as it was before.


and some of those who are wise shall fall, to refine and to cleanse them and to make them white, until the time of the end, for it is yet for the time appointed.


“At the time of the end the king of the south shall attack him; but the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall come into countries and shall overflow and pass through.


So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was frightened and fell upon my face. But he said to me, “Understand, O son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end.”


He said, “Behold, I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of the indignation; for it pertains to the appointed time of the end.


For still the vision awaits its time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seem slow, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay.


He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.


because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all men by raising him from the dead.”


But as to the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need to have anything written to you.
