The Lord spoke to Moses: ‘Go down at once! For your people you brought up from the land of Egypt have acted corruptly.


A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but one who consorts with prostitutes destroys his wealth.


For they all gave out of their surplus,   but she out of her poverty   has put in everything she had   #– #all she had to live on.’

But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” ’


The Pharisee was standing   and praying like this about himself:   “God, I thank you that I’m not like other people #– #greedy,   unrighteous,   adulterers,   or even like this tax collector.
