Then their father Israel said to them, ‘If it must be so, then do this: put some of the best products of the land in your packs and take them down to the man as a gift #– #a little balsam and a little honey, aromatic gum and resin, pistachios and almonds.


A person’s gift opens doors  for him and brings him before the great.


But some wicked men said, ‘How can this man save us? ’ They despised him and did not bring him a gift,  but Saul said nothing.  ,


They will ask how you are and give you two loaves  of bread, which you will accept from them.


Then Saul dispatched messengers to Jesse and said, ‘Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.’


Also take these ten portions of cheese to the field commander.  Check on the well-being of your brothers  and bring a token from them.


Abigail hurried, taking two hundred loaves of bread, two clay jars of wine, five butchered sheep, thirty-seven litres  of roasted grain, one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of pressed figs, and loaded them on donkeys.
