“Listen to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are too strong for me.
Attend unto my cry; For I am brought very low: Deliver me from my persecutors; For they are stronger than I.
Attend to my loud cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I.
Pay close attention to my shouting, because I’ve been brought down so low! Deliver me from my oppressors because they’re stronger than me.
I have extended my hands to you. My soul is like a land without water before you.
I stretched forth my hands to thee: my soul is as earth without water unto thee.
יהוה guards the simple; I was brought low, but He saved me.
Who remembered us in our humiliation, For His loving-commitment is everlasting;
For the enemy has pursued my being; He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in dark places, Like the dead of old.
Hasten, answer me, O יהוה; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those going down into the pit.
Hear righteousness, יהוה, Listen to my cry; Give ear to my prayer, From lips without deceit.
He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from those hating me, For they were stronger than I.
What if I had not believed To see the goodness of יהוה In the land of the living!
O יהוה, how my adversaries have increased! Many rising up against me.
But my enemies are alive; They have become strong; And those hating me falsely are many.
Therefore we do not fear, Though the earth reels And mountains topple into the heart of the seas.
For look, they have lain in wait for my life; Mighty men assemble against me, For no transgression or sin of mine, O יהוה,
Do not remember against us The crookednesses of the fathers! Let Your compassion speedily meet us, For we have been greatly weakened.
He is saying of יהוה, “My refuge and my stronghold, My Elohim, in whom I trust!”
Who shall bring any charge against Elohim’s chosen ones? It is Elohim who is declaring right.
But in all this we are more than overcomers through Him who loved us.
