For my prayer will still be toward their good will. The wrong have laid a snare for me, But I have not strayed from Your orders.
The proud have forged a lie against me, With all my heart I observe Your orders.
The proud have dug pits for me, Which is not according to Your Torah.
When my spirit grew faint within me, Then You know my path. In the way in which I walk They have hidden a trap for me.
Bring me out of the net which they have hidden for me, For You are my stronghold.
For without cause they hid their net for me; Without cause they dug a pit for my life.
Let not the foot of pride come against me, And the hand of the wrong drive me away.
Rule me rightly, O Elohim, And plead my cause against a nation without loving-commitment. Oh, deliver me from a man of deceit and unrighteousness!
They have prepared a net for my footsteps; My being was bowed down; They have dug a pit before me; They fell into the midst of it! Selah.
Do not lie in wait, O wrong one, Against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not ravage his resting place;
Then they said, “Come and let us devise plans against Yirmeyahu, for the Torah shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not listen to any of his words.”
Should good be repaid with evil? For they have dug a pit for my life. Remember that I stood before You to speak good for them, and to turn away Your wrath from them.
Let a cry be heard from their houses, when You bring a raiding party suddenly upon them. For they have dug a pit to take me, and laid snares for my feet.
