And he came to have possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great body of servants, and the Philistines envied him.


And his brothers envied him, but his father guarded the word.


And Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. And it came to be, when he went in to his brother’s wife, that he spilled on the ground, lest he should give an offspring to his brother.


For wrath kills the fool, and envy slays the simple.


A healthy heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.
