But they lie in wait for their own blood, They ambush their own lives.
The wage of the righteous is for life, The increase of the wrong is for sin.
He who sows unrighteousness reaps trouble, And the rod of his wrath perishes.
The wrong one is entrapped In his own crookednesses, And he is caught in the cords of his sin.
He who digs a pit falls into it, and whoever breaks through a wall is bitten by a snake.
Their heart has been slippery, now they are guilty. He breaks down their slaughter-places, He destroys their pillars.
