And the border turned around from Ba‛alah westward to Mount Sĕ‛ir, and passed over to the side of Mount Ye‛arim on the north, that is Kesalon, and went down to Bĕyth Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah.
And the border reached to Taḇor, and Shaḥatsimah, and Bĕyth Shemesh, and their border ended at the Yardĕn – sixteen cities with their villages.
This was the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali for their clans, the cities with their villages.
Neither did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Bĕyth Shemesh nor the inhabitants of Bĕyth Anath, but they dwelt among the Kena‛anites, the inhabitants of the land. And the inhabitants of Bĕyth Shemesh and of Bĕyth Anath became compulsory labour for them.
