And Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu, a chief officer of his, conspired against him and struck him in Shomeron, in the high place of the sovereign’s house, along with Argoḇ and Aryĕh, and with him were fifty men of Gil‛aḏ. So he killed him and reigned in his place.


In the fifty-second year of Azaryah sovereign of Yehuḏah, Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu began to reign over Yisra’ĕl in Shomeron, for twenty years.


In those days יהוה began to send Retsin sovereign of Aram and Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu against Yehuḏah.


In the seventeenth year of Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu, Aḥaz son of Yotham, sovereign of Yehuḏah, began to reign.


Then Retsin sovereign of Aram and Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu, sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, came up to Yerushalayim, to battle. And they besieged Aḥaz but were unable to overcome him.


The vision of Yeshayahu son of Amots, which he saw concerning Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim in the days of Uzziyahu, Yotham, Aḥaz, Ḥizqiyahu – sovereigns of Yehuḏah.

And יהוה set up the adversaries of Retsin against him, and stirred up his enemies,


“Aram was your merchant because of the multitude of your works. They gave you emeralds, purple, and embroidery, and fine linen, and corals, and rubies for your wares.


The word of יהוה that came to Hoshĕa son of Be’ĕri, in the days of Uzziyah, Yotham, Aḥaz, and Yeḥizqiyah, sovereigns of Yehuḏah, and in the days of Yaroḇ‛am son of Yo’ash, sovereign of Yisra’ĕl.
