Bare places by the River, by the mouth of the River, and every sown field by the River shall wither. It shall be driven away, and be no more.
Who has counselled this against Tsor, the crowning city, whose merchants are chiefs, whose traders are the esteemed of the earth?
Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the foot of the ox and the donkey.
“And now why take the way to Mitsrayim, to drink the waters of Shiḥor? Or why take the way to Ashshur, to drink the waters of the River?

from Shiḥor which is in front of Mitsrayim, and up to the border of Eqron northward, are considered as Kena‛anite – the five princes of the Philistines, the Azzathites, and the Ashdoḏites, the Eshqelonites, the Gittites, and the Eqronites; also the Awwites
