And Yosĕph called the name of the first-born Menashsheh, “For Elohim has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house.”


And the name of the second he called Ephrayim, “For Elohim has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.”


And to Yosĕph in the land of Mitsrayim were born Menashsheh and Ephrayim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On, bore to him.


And Yosĕph took them both, Ephrayim with his right hand toward Yisra’ĕl’s left hand, and Menashsheh with his left hand toward Yisra’ĕl’s right hand, and brought them near him.


And when Yosĕph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephrayim, it was evil in his eyes; and he took hold of his father’s hand to remove it from the head of Ephrayim to the head of Menashsheh.


And Yosĕph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this one is the first-born, put your right hand on his head.”


יהוה said to my Master, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”


The right hand of יהוה is exalted, The right hand of יהוה acts mightily.


“Your right hand, O יהוה, has become great in power. Your right hand, O יהוה, has crushed the enemy.

Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the elderhood.


Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in sins of others. Keep yourself clean.
