And when Ya‛aqoḇ came out of the field in the evening, Lĕ’ah went out to meet him and said, “Do come in to me, for indeed, I have hired you with my son’s love-apples.” And he lay with her that night.
And he said, “Hear now, O house of Dawiḏ! Is it not enough that you weary men, that you weary my Elohim also?
“And have you not walked in their ways and did according to their abominations? But in all your ways you soon became more corrupt than they.
“Is it little that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, that you would also seize total rule over us?
But with me it is a small matter that I should be judged by you or by a man’s court. But not even myself I judge.
