The message concerning Dammeseq. “See, Dammeseq ceases to be a city, and shall become a heap of ruins.


“For the head of Aram is Dammeseq, and the head of Dammeseq is Retsin. And within sixty-five years Ephrayim is to be broken as a people.


Concerning Dammeseq: “Ḥamath and Arpaḏ have been put to shame, for they have heard an evil report. They have been melted in anxiety, like the sea, unable to rest.


“Dammeseq was your merchant because of the multitude of your works, because of your great wealth of goods, with the wine of Ḥelbon and with white wool.
